Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) is a serious medical condition where there is abnormally high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs (pulmonary arteries). This causes the right side of the heart to work harder to pump blood into the lungs, eventually leading to right heart failure if untreated.
PH is not a disease itself, but a manifestation of various underlying conditions. It can be progressive and life-threatening if not diagnosed and managed early.
